Colin Brown - Company Director

Managing Director, Colin Brown, is a highly-qualified and respected acoustic expert who has dedicated much of his career to planning and environmental noise assessment and control. Initially trained in Environmental Health, Colin Brown went on to gain a diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control in 2012 and now specialises in the field of acoustics.

Having worked across the public and private sectors, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to acoustic consultancy – marrying client and local authority needs, and creating solutions with insights gained from sitting at both sides of the table.

Colin Brown played a key role in a significant number of projects carried out in Edinburgh during periods of strong economic growth, acoustically assessing projects including housing, office space, entertainment facilities and educational spaces. Many of which repurposed architecturally important buildings and pushed the boundaries of innovative design and sound management.
